Playing Catch Up

Don't seem to have had much blog time lately I have been so busy catching up with  my knitting.  I've been trying to get ahead with Christmas presents and feel I have made quite a good start!

I also had a few requests to design a simple matinee coat and hat for early born babies so whilst I have been having a bit of a good spell with my shoulder I got to it and came up with this little set.

I've designed it to be a quick knit which uses less than 90g of yarn for the complete set.  Ideally sized to fit early babies 3-5lb in weight but also suitable for 16" reborn dolls.

The set can be knitted in one colour or two and is a great pattern for using up those small balls of yarn left over from larger projects.

You can find the pattern on the website here:   Tipeetoes.co.uk for baby knitting patterns    or you can also download it from Ravelry.

Now cuppa in hand I'm going to catch up with all the blogs that I've missed....ta ta for now x

Busy Weekend

I've spent the weekend catching up with paperwork and completing my tax return for the year. I try to be good keeping up with paperwork and accounts but I'd much rather be doing my crafts and I  am all too easily distracted.

Thankfully the weather has been terrible with lots of rain so not really a weekend where I wanted to be out and about so I guess this has helped to focus my mind and get the dreaded accounts done, filed and out of the way.....and I feel sooooo much better for getting it all sorted.

Everything is now noted, recorded and filed where it should be and I can now get back to my crafts....yipeeee!!

This is my new pattern suitable for a baby girl...I've named it 'Isabella' and the set would be lovely for a winter home-coming outfit for a new baby girl. The set comprises of a little jacket, long trousers and a fur trimmed bonnet.

I have listed the outfit in my  Folksy Shop

If you would like to knit the outfit yourself you can find the pattern on my website:

A Funny Sort of Day

Well hubby was back to work this morning after the rainy May Bank Holiday, I think he would have preferred to stay at home.

Tuesday has been a mixture of lovely spells of warm sunshine and dreadful rain showers...to me it feels more like April than May.

I changed the bed sheets this morning thinking I would get them washed, dried and ironed...by the time the washer had finished and I'd got a line full of washing out it had started to rain and I had to bring them all in again!

I was looking through my stash of yarn and wool last evening and came across a gorgeous reel of blue cotton which was just begging to be made into something light and lacy....so I got out the crochet hooks and decided to turn it into a baby girl's dress.

By bedtime I had just got down to dividing for the armholes

I am hoping to crochet a few more rows on the skirt part this evening.

I have also challenged myself to try and list in my Folksy each day as I think it is looking pretty bare and I'm sure I will attract buyers if they have more to look at..so....I listed this cute pair of baby legwarmers
